Attempting to be Vegan When Exploring Yosemite National Park
September is an optimal time to visit Mono Lake but not to see any of the falls at Yosemite. The vegan burger at the Yosemite Lodge Food Court slightly defused my disappointment over the seasonal dryness of the park. I took the moonlight tour and saw people rock climbing El Capitan which was really neat. As far as lodging, I stayed at housekeeping camp. The location was convenient because it was in the park. For an additional $2.50 linens were provided including wool blankets. I have a problem with wool due to the nature in which the wool is obtained. It's not like when dogs go to the vet to get groomed. The common practices of shearing sheep often leads to injury and mutilation. Read about it here: http://www.peta.org/living/fashion/whats-wrong-with-wool.aspx
