Attempting to be Vegan in Rhode Island
When considering where to go to college I always imagined it would be somewhere in New England. Autumn colors, the smell of coffee, articulate students, scarves, sleds in the winter, and the feel of an Edith Wharton novel- that's how I envisioned college. I considered going to The University of Maine, visited Springfield University in Massachusetts, and was accepted to The University of Hartford in Connecticut. Somehow Ithaca won me over. What did I know at 17? Nine years later and I made it to beautiful New England. The first and last stops were in Connecticut. The first stop for food however was at Crazy Burger in Narragansett, RI. They had many vegan options and that was the first time since I have become vegan that I was able to order a milkshake. The place rocked and to prove it, Crazy Burger was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. After a delicious lunch Sparky and I ventured to The Cliff Walk in Newport, RI.
