Attempting to be Vegan in New Hampshire and Vermont

My roommate freshmen year of college was from York, Maine and she would tell me about the neat neighboring town of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Portsmouth is home to The Friendly Toast where I got the Vegan Valhalla. Interesting name for a wrap that comes with tofu, brown rice, portobello mushrooms, spinach, scallions, and tahini dressing. It was delicious and came with more potato chips then I could have imagined. After a good night's rest I went to Cathedral of the Pines. It is a spiritual place that welcomes people of all faiths. The founders hoped that interfaith understanding would help bring world peace. That same day I went to Mount Ascunty. It was a day filled with beauty but not good food. It was impossible to find anything decent to eat in Windsor, Vermont on a Sunday. I ended up getting a bagel with jelly from the Windsor Diner.
