Attempting to be Vegan When Dining Out with Friends

Since my last blog entry I have gone out to eat to The Iron Hill Brewery twice. I usually get the Mediterranean Wrap sans feta. It comes with hummus, cucumber, roasted red peppers, tomato, arugula, and balsamic syrup in a spinach tortilla. The guacamole and warm tortilla chips are quite tasty too.

To celebrate a friend's birthday I went to La Stalla for dinner where I discovered not only penne arrabiata but also how much fun I can have dancing.

There is an all vegan Chinese restaurant near me called Satao Cafe which I ordered from twice. It was convenient; I'm not the biggest fan of Chinese food in the first place.

I also went to Local 44 and was disappointed. The onion rings were pricey for not being the greatest onion rings in the world, although they were definitely vegan. They poured barbecue sauce on top of them. That would be like ordering french fries and having them come out with ketchup already on them; that is just wrong. They also didn't have the spicy tofu sandwich I had been looking forward to that I saw on their on-line menu. The waiter informed me that the menu changes, however the on-line menu had not been updated. I ended up with a homemade black bean burger which was good, but not good enough to make me want to go back. After lunch at Local 44 I got vegan treats from The Rocket Cat Cafe which is always awesome.

As I do not have any pictures from the above mentioned restaurants I will instead leave you with pictures of Bushkill Falls, which I went to with my dancing partner.
