Attempting to go Vegan in Pittsburgh
I was surprised that it was deserted at Cuyhoga National Park, but I'm starting to see that nothing should surprise me when it comes to visiting national parks. I also didn't expect to see a pair of men's blue boxer briefs near one of the waterfalls. After exploring the park in Ohio, we had dinner at The Double Wide Grill in Pittsburgh. They have a separate fryer for their deep-fried vegan items and their vegan wood-grilled items are prepared on a separate elevated section of their grill. I had the seitan wings, which I had to order again after falling in love with them in Chicago. Five out of their six wing sauces are vegan and I order mine with Cletus’ Signature Hot Sauce. For my main meal I ordered the lentil veggie burger and they specify that they have vegan rolls. It was a good meal but would have been better if they had vegan desserts. The next day Sparky and I got tattoos at Black Cat Tattoos where the apprentice used Intenze ink which is 100% vegan http://www.intenzetattooink.com/intenze-tattoo-ink-university/intenze-tattoo-ink-vegan-friendly-information. Getting tattooed made us work up an appetite so we had lunch at Spak Brothers where I had to get another order of seitan wings. Just like the Chicago diner they came with vegan ranch, and I think they should only be served that way. Before we said goodbye to Pittsburgh we went to Kyklops Tattoo and Body Piercing where a nice lady named Daria gauged my ears. That made for a fun five hour drive home.
