It took me 26 years to try my first Brussels sprout. I also had a Gardein stuffed turkey for the first time as well. Usually, I get the Tofurkey for Thanksgiving but I brought that to Friendsgiving this year. Somebody else did the vegan cooking this year which was another first for me. I made pumpkin muffins in the spirit of the holiday.
In other news I was asked the weirdest question. Vegetarianism and veganism was being discussed at a bar when a woman I just met asked me what I planned to do when I have children and my body won't produce breast milk? First off, I think it's weird meeting people for the first time and they bring up hypothetical situations involving children that I don't have. Second, even though I am vegan my body still produces hormones including prolactin and oxytocin which will enable me to breastfeed. However, I didn't feel like getting into this discussion with people I met for the first time at a bar so I just said I would use formula as vegan formula does exist. Human breast milk is meant for human babies and cow's milk is meant for calves, end of story, move on and sing karaoke.
Today was the first snow of the season. Check out the autumn pictures from warmer days.
