We saw live music at The Bitter End where I sat at the table right behind Dr. Ruth. I didn't even realize it was her and I almost literally rubbed elbows with her. This is the second time this year that I didn't realize I was in close proximity to somebody famous. In San Francisco, I though Dave Chappelle was just some random guy on the street that my traveling companion was going to ask for directions. New York was freezing, as it always is when I visit. We also went to Dunwell Donuts located at 222 Montrose Ave in Brooklyn which is 100% vegan. The donut I had was very good, but I still think Ronald's in Las Vegas has the best vegan donuts. I was really excited to go to Dunwell Donuts not only because I could get a vegan donut but because I graduated from the same Alma Mater as the owners Christopher Hollowell and Dan Dunbar.

Attempting to be Vegan When Visiting Friends in Staten Island
Last weekend I visited Sparky in Staten Island. It was wonderful to see her new place and play with her new puppy.
We took the ferry to NYC. I had the thanksgiving leftovers sandwich at 'sNice (150 Sullivan Street). It came with Tofurky, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, cranberry relish, and gravy. It could have used more gravy but I enjoyed the fact that it was a unique seasonal sandwich.
