Attempting to be Vegan in Philadelphia

Yesterday was very productive. I even walked four miles. For the first, and probably last time, I went to The Pennsy Flea Market. All of the really neat vintage items were behind caution tape as they were only for the auction on Saturdays. I definitely prefer Zerns. After the flea market I went to Ants Pants Cafe. My companion got an  Egg, Ham & Brie Sandwich. I had an iced coffee which is rare for me. I really need to make some vegan or vegetarian friends. After walking downtown I visited Sparky and we checked out the Rocket Cat Cafe.  I got a vegan burrito. That was the first time I knowingly ate seitan. Next time I go there I want to get a bagel. After arriving home I felt that the night was still young and made plans to spend time with a friend that lives locally. We had a little music session, singing to The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, Belle and Sebastian, Fountains of Wayne, and Rouge Wave. Chris is an amazing guitarist. I can't begin to wrap my mind around the way he hears a song and is able to play by ear without ever looking at the tabs or chords. That's why he is a talented musician and I am not. Today I made vegan chocolate chip pancakes for brunch. I have also been keeping busy by knitting and reading the novel "Submarine." I highly recommend it; as Esquire (UK) says it is "supremely funny."
